Autumn majored in English language and Literature at Fu Jen Catholic U, Taiwan, and has earned an MA degree in Performance Making from Goldsmiths, U of London. Her work, which centres on identity questions, performative boundaries, sociocultural perceptions, and multilingualism, explores connections between the Medieval West and East Asian literatures.
Written as a tapestry of different languages, her compositions emphasize the sonic and visual qualities of literary production, often exploring spiritual-spatial journeys that transcend geographical and temporal boundaries. Utilizing books and words as material objects, Autumn often incorporates sound recordings and voice acting into her scripts, poetry, and prose. Her recent collaborators include composers Rachel C. Walker and Philipp Henkel, founders of neuMerz. Her work in music theatre have been performed at major forums and events in Europe and Taiwan, including the Sprengel Museum, Sankt Peter Köln, Monopol Berlin, and the Taipei Fringe Festival. In the fields of literature and sonic art, her story will continue to be told across space and time. Please check out her youtube channel (@autumnars) for some of her recent highlights. |
